Skateboarder Lands 6 ft. 5 in. Jump – San Francisco – Sunset District

San Francisco's Sunset District. July 2007. I have 40 minutes of pre-video of this skateboarder working up the nerve to start making 11 attempts. On the 12th try, he nailed the landing and skates off to a victory celebration. I've measured the ledge and it's 6 feet 5 inches to the sidewalk. Originally, I was only videotaping because I was certain the kid was about to send himself to the ER and I thought the church could use some evidence that the kid knew it was a dangerous trick to pull off. I ended up liking the kid's fortitude and steady approach to learning how to land what should have been his last trick. If you know this guy, let him know he can send me an email and I'll give him a DVD of a nine minute edit that includes the 53 false starts. It's pretty funny, but too long for YouTube audiences' attention spans.

hhskate.com We teamed up with Justin and the guys at Force Trucks and threw down a comp at 3rd and Army. We kept it late back, with sessions down the gap, on the table and ended up with a fun sesh on the flat bar. Canadian Paul Trepanier got 1st and had flip tricks on lock, down the gap with fs flip, bs flip and switch fs flip easy!!! Mark Suciu got 2nd with a big flip down the set and other smooth tricks on the ledge and flat bar. Bryan Krasovetz drove down from Seattle and got 3rd. We hit up some other spots out there in SF and played an intense game of hoops at Clipper ledge too. The top 3 are: 1. Paul Trep 2. Mark Suciu 3. Bryan Krasovetz
