Skateboarder Lands 6 ft. 5 in. Jump – San Francisco – Sunset District

San Francisco's Sunset District. July 2007. I have 40 minutes of pre-video of this skateboarder working up the nerve to start making 11 attempts. On the 12th try, he nailed the landing and skates off to a victory celebration. I've measured the ledge and it's 6 feet 5 inches to the sidewalk. Originally, I was only videotaping because I was certain the kid was about to send himself to the ER and I thought the church could use some evidence that the kid knew it was a dangerous trick to pull off. I ended up liking the kid's fortitude and steady approach to learning how to land what should have been his last trick. If you know this guy, let him know he can send me an email and I'll give him a DVD of a nine minute edit that includes the 53 false starts. It's pretty funny, but too long for YouTube audiences' attention spans.

6 Year Old Skateboarder “Seabass” – Amazing Skateboard Tricks and Jumps

April 18, 2010 - 3:01 am 25 Comments

My name is Sebastian Kuhr and I am 6 years old. My friends call me Seabass. I love to skateboard and I learned some new tricks for this video, like a fakie bigspin and half-cab and a 6-stair ollie. I love skateboarding and I am competing in skateboard contests now with CASL. I am sponsored by Spyder in Hermosa Beach. Some people say I'm the next Tony Hawk or Sheckler but I think I'm the next Shaun White because I snowboard too.
